In 1966 he built his first caravan under the name Bergland. This name is derived from his former dealership and refers to the Limburg hills. In 1976 production increases to 400 units. In 1995 Bergland has to leave the factory building in Stein for unclear reasons and the brand seems to disappear. In 1997 a Bergland Service Center is opened in Spaubeek: VOF Bergland Trading. Bergland will be appearing at the January 1998 fair with caravans from the 1994/95 range and a motorhome. The prices are also unchanged. In 2001 Bergland moves to Stein and only builds custom caravans.
